Alexandra Petrohilos
Practice Owner & Therapist
For over 20 years I have helped families navigate the evolution of childhood from the rise of social media to the complexities of school stress. I have helped hundreds of clients navigate a variety of mental health challenges and I do not just offer “talk therapy”; I provide a roadmap for success and healing based on over 2 decades of seeing what actually works.
As a former classroom teacher and school counselor I have designed a practice that focuses and specializes in working with school-aged children and teens on the mental health concerns that most often impact this population. My areas of expertise include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, school refusal, attentional issues such as ADHD, OCD/perfectionism, divorce, behavior management, self-esteem, eating disorders, anger, dual diagnoses, social skills, trauma, parent coaching and support, ASD, and screen time dependence and overuse.
Some of my previous professional experience includes extensive university research in psychology, inpatient mental health settings, classroom teacher, school counselor, and private practice.
